Wheeler Dealers

I have a confession to make ... I like this programme Embarassed . I like the way Mike has to shake everyones hand at the end of each sentence and they are all his 'buddy'. I like the way Ed has so many 'top tips' and the fact that the camera man is always at the parts suppliers before Mike walks in. Its fantastic.

The best part tho is when Mike drives a new purchase back to Eds garage and peeps the horn - have you noticed Ed always happens to be right behind the door at that very moment.

Classic stuff but enjoyable. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I hate the way that fat fella always rubs his hands over new paintwork, if only he knew the damage it goes Laughing Laughing

To me it's a good source of good info. There are many similar programmes that show a typical pair of geezers buying a jalopy and tearing it down and fixing it up in about a week! Then there are the overhauling staged thefts etc, and pranks to cars' victim etc. There are always staged disasters, running out of time challenges, bad suppliers etc, and employee walk outs and all. but they always finish it for their client. Just in time....You have to go with the cheese, and then gaze at the finished article at the end, sometimes for not long enough! And they never list the companies they use to supply/use/service any parts etc.
I used to like the U.S. Series American hot rod, but it started to turn into a sort of American chopper style conflict between some staff and the boss etc. and less tool time every week.
However, if you do go out and buy an old jalopy at start to fix her up, add about 2 years to the typical 1 hour programme slot to realistically do a good job! Assuming you have a typical day job and live with someone.

'Edd, Edd, oh Edd, you've done it again, what can I say, it can't be the same car, look it's gleaming, and those wheels I got you they really set it off. Shall we dress up and pose about town it it.? '

The health & safety realisation makes me cringe when i look back at VERY old episodes and there;s Edd paint spraying some old junker with the workshop doors closed and no ppe/mask Shocked or grinding without eye, ear or hand protection Shocked

I haven't seen an episiode in ages but keep track of things via the WD Facebook page.

Would love to watch it online as I'm in Abu Dhabi, so must look to see if that's possible. Si. <This is my name.
