Good places to stay & eat in normandy

Chaps,

Am heading off to NW Normandy (from Caen up to how Honfleur then north of Le havre (Etretat) and across to Rouen then SW back down to Caen)

Anyone got any classy accomm or eateries that shouldn't be missed around there?

Many thx Thumbs Up

Just North of Caen on the way to the coast by Pegasus Bridge in Benouville, there is a hotel called Manoir Hastings, its a run down two star from Repbulics gone by and not up to much, however the restaurant can be outstadning, 14 course tasting menu, good wine and not too expensive, but it can be hit and miss depending on the mood of the Chef. Just over the road is La Glycine, much more consistant but a little more expensive (hey you run a FFRR so all things are relative) but that can get busy and needs booking.

Thats a couple off the top of my head gasket.

While since we stayed in it but found Le Cheval Blanc at Caudebec en Caux very good.

Caudebec is also a nice stopover between Le Havre and Rouen. Pleasant town with attractive riverfront.

La Marine had a reasonable restaurant but the accommodation, although ok for an overnight, was a bit tired. John
