Head unit upgrade

Hi can someone help my friend who has a 2002-2005 model HSE l322 with only the radio and no sat nav and wants to know if anyone can recommend a decent after market unit with all the bells and whistles but an easy change over thanks in advance for any help

It's going to depend on the exact year i think.

As the the 2005 model year started production in mid 2004. So the late 2004/early 2005 cars had the later optical system on pre-facelift cars (like mine)
