I have a MY06 FF with 22 inch wheels and 285 35R 22 106V tyres on them. I am considering new wheels as there are some blisters coming up on mine.

Can I put winter tyres on these wheels and if so, does anyone have size recommendations?

You'd probably be better off selling them and buying a cheap set of 19" from ebay.

Have you considered getting your alloys refurbed? If they're just scabby a decent refurb place will bring them up like new for £400 or less. Unless you just want an excuse to change the style.

Conti, a red and Pirelli all do winters in 275 40 22 that fit the L405

I considered those, but then got a good deal on some 275 45 21's - just need to find some wheels now.
