Anyone had this ?

My car is at the local dealer for the week to get a new front suspension etc. and they found that the fixations of the rear upper tailgate are broke ! Shocked Shocked

Now i get an new one incl. a new rear window Crying or Very sad beside the black RANGE ROVER lettering is not available any more, so they will put me silver ones in front and in the back now Big Cry Big Cry All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

Yes - the car has the normal LR warranty until 03.2016 and the LR used car warranty for another year afterwards.

But the head of the mechanics at the local LR dealer and the service guys like me (don't understand why)- so they do a good job and get everything and more done - they said there is also on the front drive train some hydraulic thingy that they changed too beside the complete suspension and stuff Smile

I wonder if the L322 is the more robust car..... All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

It's hard to believe that black lettering is not available, given its use in the AB Black edition MY 15. I wonder whether Duckworths could supply? The brochure says that it is Santorini black, so maybe it is standard lettering which is then painted? Only Range Rovers since 1988

Sounds very similar to my experience with the 322, first 18 months it sat in the dealers for 8 of them with various issues, since then been normal (for FFRR) stuff. I will run this thing into the ground but as much as I love them I am getting sick of the issues. I will always have one but on my terms Thumbs Up

Have never mastered this quote thing Rolling with laughter

PPPS. had a P38 and 2 Discos from new with minimal issues

They offered to respray the silver lettering to black but that is not *original* to me Smile All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

I would guess that the new lettering comes with the adhesive backing and on a pre-mounted tape with the right spacing etc.

They probably could use the old letters, but would need to remove the adhesive, apply and trim new adhesive and make up a template. I could understand why they wouldn't be keen....

Thanks Dan - now they told me that car was original - according to the VIN - delivered with silver badges (first owner changed them to black) and LR will only pay for silver ones under warranty Sad All my spelling errorz are belong to me!
