So far my investment in a 40w panel has returned (I'm guessing) £20 over the last 2 years Laughing

Got to say they look like Censored
These ugly things should be subject to some serious planning restrictions or not allowed at all Shocked
I get out and about on my mountain bike into the middle of nowhere and the desecration of the roofs of some houses in, for example, the dales has to be seen to be believed. Geoff

I've had second thoughts about my post - I'd rather you had the panels than claimed benefits Whistle Geoff

Mick,
I lost myself a little Very Happy
I didn't mean too suggest you were on benefits, apologies if you thought that as it is clearly not the case, I was thinking, for example, that maybe councils could maybe mandate them going up on council housing as certainly in my area those estates are not the prettiest.

Despite the fact that i don't like the look of panels on roofs I actually do like the new windmills although I am often puzzled as to why when I'm on a desolate bit of moor and the wind is clearly blowing the blades appear to be locked stationary.

However at the end of the day the Austrailian banks (who own most of the power companies) will have to do something to maintain profits. A bit like fitting a water meter if everyone did it the nett. take of cash would have to be the same to keep profits up for the shareholders.

I keep promising myself not to look at the forum when drunk, and certainly not to comment - but hey when you're drunk, you're drunk, and resolutions of all kinds go out the window. So this morning i am sober and start the day with lame apologies - there's nothing new in the world Whistle
Cheers Geoff
