As per the title, I am looking for a good low mileage 3.6 TDV8 Engine, my friends blew its turbo's, these have been replaced but the engine is now rattling like a bag of spanners and smokes like something out of Isambard Brunels time. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Also know of a nice 2007 Zermatt silver for sale. It had a slight bump and needs a front bumper cover c/w spots and parking sensors. The bits behind the cover appear ok. Also needs a n/s door mirror as the powerfold wont work and a trim piece to the top of the door. 96k miles. Dark blue leather with cream piping. Actually looks a nice car. Can get some pics if wanted. It's a Cat D but they seem to stick everything under that nowadays. However it's very reasonably priced for a quick sale. Again PM me if of interest. Rehab is for quitters!!!

My mates Range Rover was a cat "D" when he got it from an online Coparts auction, It had had a reasonably hard front end hit. He rebuilt it with various bits from ebay ect and it has been a great vehicle for a year or so but then the turbos let go and as per so many others now he is in a world of poo.
If we could get parts we would have had the engine out already and stripped it down, but Land Rover or Ford simply don't list them and wont sell them. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

What diagnosis work has your friend done to prove damage???

I ask as i have seen a couple that have hydrolocked and finished the injector off! Immersing a hot injector tip in oil doesn’t seem to do them much good Strange huh (that could easily be the rattle!)

The thing should smoke like a pig due to the turbo blowing engine oil everywhere! (last time i drove one i had a DHL driver calling for the fire brigade!!!)
