Hi, wondered if anyone had done a timing chain replacement on the TD6 yet. Mine has 210k miles and has a chain rattle so feel it needs done, done all the aux belts and pulleys so fairly sure its the lower chain that has a rattle on tickover, I also have traced a tiny oil leak at the very front of the engine that looks like a slight hairline crack in the cast of the front o f the block directly in front of the timing chain, I wonder if its eating its way through the front of the block, just wondered if anyone had changed the slipper tensioners or the chains and how much hassle it is..

Isn't the chain on the back of the block ?

The TD6 has three chains at the front, the TDV6 has them at the back......  Pete
