Irv Gordon is well-known in the classic Volvo and driving world for this model. I believe it's still on its original drivetrain.
In the mega-mile car circles, people refer to their mileage as 'half an Irv' or similar.
I know Volvo took over the maintenance of it some years ago but Irv has maintained it scrupulously since new anyway. I read that it's never been eaten in and he changes the oil very frequently and just preventatively maintains it.
I'm quite surprised Volvo don't buy if off him, but he's asking a lot. Then again, find another just like it... Si. <This is my name.
