Backup camera problem

I have a 2010 RR. The backup camera is not working. When I go in reverse the camera image is now black and white, instead of color also the image is reversed. So if an object behind the car is on the left, the camera shows it on the right.

I brought the truck in for service and the dealer said the camera needs to be replaced for $750. Shocked

That seems very expensive.

Has this camera problem happened to any one else?

That does seem expensive.

I believe the part number is LR012678 - but worth double checking.

Worth checking eBay - there's one here for $250 Whistle

Depends whether you are sure it's the camera & are competent enough to replace it yourself.

Thank you for the link to the camera on eBay. This might be a good option for me.
Do it myself, I don't think so Rolling with laughter but I have a local shop that can do it.

Does your car have the camera package? i.e. vision assist? If so, the camera is a lot more expensive than the fixed one!

The camera Alistair has highlighted above does NOT show the plug on the rear so I’m unsure which one it is...
