United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black
Guy Salmon LR, Aylesford nr Maidstone

We picked up our first FFRR today from them and were very pleased with the general attitude and professionalism.

The car was immaculately prepared, inside and out and they were delighted when we asked for a copy of the build sheet and inspection report showing servicing and such like. Between that and having spent some time reading the owner's manual via Topix, they voiced their admiration for our level of enthusiasm…probably just good PR but it was nice to hear.

They also provided and programmed a remote for the park heating free of charge.

All in all, a very pleasant and stress free buying experience.

Hopefully we won't need to see them until next service time ( i.e. the car remains fault free between now and then) unless we want any accessories.

Very pleased for you. It's a great feeling taking ownership of such a lovely car. Picked mine up today from Lookers Colchester and it was the best experience I've had in the last four years and four separate land rovers. Let's hope our experience is a sign of things to come.

Let's see some pics when you have them Thumbs Up

@BasilFawlty

Thanks for the sentiment and here's hoping you've turned a corner.

I forgot to mention in my OP that on both occasions we went to the dealership, they didn't blink an eye about us having Hamish, our six month old Scottish Terrier, with us.

We at least thought we might receive conditional permission for him to enter the showroom but no, he was made to feel welcome too! This was a shrewd move on their part as he turned out to be an organic magnet to the adult customers and a distracting bundle of fun for their bored off-spring.

Good luck with the new car!

We love Scotties, used to have one. We now have a westy and like you we took him in the dealership with us yesterday.
They made him feel welcome and even got Lucky ( he's a rescue and that was his name prior to us owning him) a bowl of water to drink whilst we did the paper-work.

It was also a first in that they gave us a small hamper of locally produced jams etc, when the most I've ever had previously was a key ring.

We drove the 250 mile home in the new car and then got held up for an hour and a half in stop - start Congestion on the outskirts of Cambridge. I put the cruise on at 70mph and was amazed that by the time we got home after five and a half hours we'd done an indicated 42.4 mpg, which isn't that far from what SWMBO eco golf would do.

Let's hope that these are good omens for us Thumbs Up
