Your 2015 Range Rover Highs & Lows

Low - admitting defeat after 2 years that the SC engine oil leak was terminal and having to let it go!

High - finding a cracking replacement 4.4TDV8 that has banished the bad taste left by the previous experience.

Thumbs Up

Overtime I drive the lovely thing... the noise, the comfort, the style.. the go anywhere... The downs... sometimes frustration at the sequence in which problems appear.. 'If I'd know that was going to happen Id have fixed both at the same time.....'

low : sinking yet more cash on an ageing TD6. Then realising enough is enough .

High : upgrading to a cracking 2010MY TDV8 VSE.

Low: realising the TDV8 needs a new steering rack 3 weeks after collecting.

High: getting confirmation that rack covered by warranty , otherwise would be rejected under SOGA!

Bit of a pattern with these infuriating motors !

Low = rear washer stopped working and tried clearing any blockage with a needle without success and wasn't looking forward to stripping the inside of the back door after researching the issue on here!

High = had one more go with a smaller needle and managed to get one jet working which I'm happy with as I don't want to strip it all down Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Low - having to get the gearbox rebuilt at a cost of nearly £2500
High - having a silky smooth gear change without the clunks and vibrations.

Low - the coolant tank splitting and leaving me and the wife stranded in the centre on Manchester
High - having the brain wave to hire a car from round the corner and fixing it the next day all by myself

Low - the water pump letting go at 7th Sunday morning letting all the coolant out on my drive
High - dropping the fatty to Billy at Hilton garage (01902 866266) 9pm that night and picking it up at 3pm the following day all done with minimal inconvenience. Faultless service.

The fatty costs so much to keep maintained but it's such an amazing all-rounder and so luxurious. 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 on Gas

Low/ Realising that the FF will never be the reliable repairable work horse that the P38 is.

High/ Keeping the P38 for those long bush drives knowing that I will manage to get home and still have the comforts.

High : The fact it still puts a smile on my face after 3 years

Lows : After getting 4 new tyres fitted, after a week got a bolt right on the part of the tyre that couldn't be repaired, so had to fork out for another new tyre.
Oh and the little incident when the cricket ball landed on the roof of the car, and the aggro getting the cricket club to pay for the repair. 2004 vogue
