United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black
Armour All Better than Wax

I had a free sachet of this and used it on the Defender bonnet, it seemed incredibly easy to use so I splashed out on a bottle.

It says it will last 10 washes, but as all you have to do is wipe in and buff straight away it's a quick way to keep water beading off the paint and it will keep your paint cleaner longer. I don't see it as an alternative to a good paint care process but as an easy top up.

I did a test patch on the bonnet of the Range Rover. The right hand side is treated, the middle and left are just the standard waxed finish (last done in September)

You can see how the treated side doesn't hold water at all.

I had some of that back in the 70's, it came in a sachet then, thought they had gone out of business.

I too have moved away from waxes. By chance I happened across Autosmart Topaz, a hybrid.

Once buying it, I tested it on my wife's Irridium Silver (very light silver) M-B SL by applying only one coat. It is uber-easy to apply and remove on hot or cold days. After six weeks, I relented and started applying a couple more coats even though the first was still slick (bird poo just washed off with garden hose pressure), shiny and very water-repellant….hand washing was very, very easy even after six weeks of washing only.

Apart from a couple of specialised products, all the potions and lotions I have bought over the years are gradually being given away because Topaz works so well and seemingly on any colour; on our white, silver, grey and black cars, for example.

Can't wait for some time to use it on our latest acquisition.

I got into that armoural this year and am really impressed with the ease of use and the durability . I last applied it at least 5 washes ago and i can still see the water beading of the bonnet when driving.
went out in fatty today after a downpour and the car was dry after id done a mile or so, sat at the lights looking at wet cars and mine looked like it had been in the garage overnight.
This will be my wax of choice from now on
