Been told that'll be announced in May and go on sale from August/September 16. I'd have thought the HSE Lux might just have a base of approaching £70K with the HSE 5K or so less.

The supercharged V6 isn't offered in the UK in the L494 or L405 either, nor is the NA 5.0 V8 - would be very surprised if there's a market for it in this and not them. They'll all be diesels in Europe. |

So you recon that we won't get a petrol engine for the Uk market.

Certainly possible, but given that everything is still geared around financially punishing CO2 emissions in the EU there isn't going to be a massive change overnight. For a lot of the world diesel is a non-starter (the US has only just got diesel Sports and Discoveries, and I imagine the VW business won't be helping their sales).

I know someone that gets some info on the cars and engines. They test not far from me and they have had one of the new petrol Ingenium engines pushing 600 Hp apparently in a big car. the engines are new so who knows what we will be getting but i think that we will be getting petrol and electric from Land rover very soon. In 5 years this will be the norm with most manufacturers. Diesel is dirty and we won't need it for torque with electric motors. 2020 Porsche Panamera Turbo Hybrid (V FAST)

Problem for Land Rover is that there are only 4 cylinder Ingenium engines so far, and they're miles behind the competition in hybrid technology.
