New purchase 4.4tdv8 360 camera issue

Hi all

Working through my new purchase/project issues and I have a camera out on my 360 cameras any advice on testing it or do they fail often ? All other cameras and blind spot monitoring all work thanks

Had the surround cameras on the last three fattys and TBH they are just about useless in day to day driving, you play with them to start, show your mates how they work and then never look at them again, so you can save some money and just leave it.... Thumbs Up

Following this post will be loads of people saying they use them all the time but it's too much of a faf for me... Rolling Eyes Pete

Because of the size & type of connector, they're a pain to test without the breakout box, and even then, you can only really check the correct voltages are getting to the plug that goes into the camera - it was much quicker to keep a damaged one (which happens quite often) and plug that in, if it worked, then it needed a new camera, which was the case 98% of the time.

As above, it's a novelty item for most, unless you bought the vehicle specifically because it's a feature you need, don't waste your money on it.

You could try reseating the connectors in the control module which is under the front passenger seat.
