Anyone else have a noisy clock??

Hi folks,

When I switch off my MY06 Diesel Vogue there is a noticable noise in the cockpit that I can only describe as a medium pitch rumble (if that makes sense...rumbles usually being low pitch!). I've moved my shell-like through the cabin and narrowed it down to the analogue clock running noisily in the dash.

No big deal but just wondered if anyone else had the same in their vehicles and is it therefore "normal"?

Thanks all,

- GL Neutral

You sure it's not the ECU box fan?

the radio/nav screen makes a kind of pitchy noise when the ignition is switched off, could it be that? ... - .- -.

Mine just makes a restrained 'tick' when it moves forward by a minute. I like it Smile

Interesting.....I'm pretty sure it's the clock, a constant whirring/rumbling sound that's always there, even when the car has been switched off for hours....you've got me wondering now, I'll go and run my ear over it again!!

Sorry to resurrect a very old thread but I have this whirring sound when I get in the car (no ignition on) and I have read loads of posts but none of them seems to have an end result?
Is my fsr faulty?
