Fuel Burning Heater - Fuses

Hi All

I have a MY11 L322 and the remote heater does not work. This is the heater controlled by remote control.

The remote appears to work OK and pressing it results in the LED flashing green, which is the desired state but the car does not heat. It also does not seem to heat by selecting the setting from the dash with the engine off.

I have read that Fuse 59 can be removed to reset the heater, but my manual says f59 is spare and there is no fuse in situ, so I am assuming it is no longer F59 on a MY11 car. Does anyone know which fuse it is now which controls the FBH?

Regards

Mark.

HI

Yes, I have looked on the reverse of the flap, but it only has icons (no text). I have also checked the manual, but can find a description in there that I think might be the FBH. I was hoping someone on here knew what it might be called or the fuse it is connected to.

just digging up an old thread. have a 12plate L322.

remote flashes red when i try to use the FBH remote.

would like to resync it. as baove fuse 59 in passenger footwell is spare and empty. Fuse 19 is suggested. has anyone tried this?

or is there a fuse in the back that should be pulled?

i have read numerous different ways to sync the remote on an L322 the most common i have found seems to be:

Pull fuse (passenger Fuse 19 i am assuming from above as 59 is spare)
Refit fuse after 5s or more
wait more than 2s but less than 6s then press and hold down off button for >10s until light goes off.

is this correct? Cheers

James

have also read this, https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic46437.html but i t seems inconclusive for the L322 with various different methods discussed/shown. Cheers

I just disconnected the receiver in the offside boot panel, waited 10 seconds, reconnected, press the off button AFTER 2 seconds but before 6 seconds, hold the button for at least 1 second, worked 1st time. BMW i3 Electric Car

Sorted now, thank you. ONly slight difference was the remote unit for the Webasto on my 12plate is right next to the fuse box, not behind it. Cheers

My remote just flashes red for a few seconds then stops. What is the definitive way to pair it to work properly on MY2011.
Thanks

What does the receiver look like and which wire did you unplug?

The info is in the WM in the Wiki.

Auxilliary heating
Remote pairing

Good drawings, fairly easy and it's suggests the fuse to remove. (Fuse 16, [5amp] in the rear load space cubby fuse section)

Hope it helps. PM me an email if you can't find it and I'll send the file extract. Cheers

Yep! Know about fuse 16 but someone mentioned unplugging the receiver which I assume is a wire feed into a unit... Thumbs Up 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

It is the power feed to the receiver. Just unplugs and is pretty obvious when you look at it. Certainly in the earlier models it is just a little awkward to get to as it is tucked in behind some other bits.. John
