Hi from down under

Recently purchased a 2004 Vogue FFRR and gradually transforming it into an outback touring machine. I picked up a bull bar recently ...the black rubber thing with the hoops around the headlights. Unfortunately it was basically just unbolted from another car and has come with no mounting hardware.

I notice that LR sell what they call a fixing kit VUB502550 . Just wondering if anybody on this site would know what you get. All the websites that stock it don't actually have a picture .....it just says fixing kit.

Do you have the fitting bolts, bolt spacers and rubber square covers? As that is whats used to attach it to your front end sir...

Hi Craig,

I only have the 2 front rubber covers, the 4 bolts,washers and spacer tubes are missing.
Also I'm missing the 4 brackets (2 each side) that attach to the guards and create the point wher the corner hoops attach. I'm also missing all the bolts and washers etc for these brackets.

I was hoping that all of these bits are in the kit

I'm also missing the end plastic covers for the end of the hoops, I don't expect they come in the kit and will probably have to hunt down in a wrecking yard

The kit contents should be listed on LR Microcat.

I was in my dealer last week looking for 1 of the plastic bolt covers for a nudge bar. They pulled up a fitting kit on screen, it showed all the parts in the kit. was £90 for the kit so was not going to pay that for a cover.

If you local dealer is too far away, perhaps you could try Dan @ Duckworths he may be able to send a picture of the kit contents 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

I was asking as the top brackets are made of plastic and won’t take much of a bash! (pedestrian safety) not made to withstand the Aussie outback and its animals!

There are metal bull bars available for the L322 for your marketplace i believe

No nice alloy or steel options unfortunately. I believe someone has fitted one from a Disco 3 (or maybe 4). Problem is it is not ADR (Australian Design Rules) approved. Basically it will make your car legally un roadworthy. All good until you get involved in an accident. Basically the manufacturers can't see a return on investment for the limited market opportunity which is not good for those of us that intend to use them off road

Pretty sure that's a modified Disco one Craig and that's not allowed on the FF under their rules...

Landrover actually make 4 different front bars... maybe subtle modifications to these wouldn't be noticed...??
