2003 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black
2012 L322 front Conversion - only passenger light flickering

2003 Range Rover HSE with 2012 front end conversion. Located in the US.

I know this has been covered several times, but the main concern with those threads were the turn signals or both lights flickering. I just installed the conversion this past weekend. Both headlights low beam/ high beam/ turn signals work normal (resistor added to the turn signal wires). The driver side angel eyes and side light work, but the passenger side flashes. I went through the wiring and redid the soldering to make sure a connection was not loose. I then tested the lights and everything worked. put the bumper and everything else on and then the passenger light angel eyes and side light started flickering. Why would the passenger light flicker and the driver side is fine when it was connected the same way on each side.

I got the PowerfulUK 16 pin connectors and used the wiring diagram and rechecked everything several times. Yes, I connected both pin 4 and 16 to the side light positive wire and pin 1 to the ground wire. On the original 2003 side/turn light there are 3 plugs. the turn signal plug, the main side bulb plug, and the side bulb plug(both have same color wires. The wiring diagram didn't mention the 3rd smaller bulb plug. Should both side light plugs be wired to the side light/angel eyes wires on the new 16 pin headlight plug? Any help would be appreciated.

Ryan

I've not tried a conversion, but would just go with standard troubleshooting of trying to narrow it down.

Try fitting the adapters to the other sides & see if the problem stays at the same side

Try temporarily slapping the headlight units to the other side - clearly they won't fit, but run the cabling & see if the problem moves.

Try contacting Powerful & see if they can offer any assistance.

Hi, I had a similar problem and it turned out it was the light box I had fitted to the rear light , it was faulty on the side that was flickering. Hope this helps.

The weather is supposed to warm up at the end of the week and I'll spend the weekend pulling the bumper and grill and switch the lights to make sure the headlight isn't the problem.

Does it flash both with & without the engine running?

Yes, the passenger light angel eyes/side light flashes when the engine is on and off and I turn the lights on. There has been a time or 2 when it flashed and then stayed lit up. The driver side might flash 1-2 seconds but then stays on.

In that case i would definitely rule out the boxes you have wired in by swapping them from side to side Thumbs Up
