Sad thing is people with no life who sit in front of TV and dream of a better life do pay to enter them again and again...

I have done some work in the past in "media" and a lot of TV companies (channel 5 not being the ONLY one!!) make more money out of the phone-ins than they do on the production of the progamme itself. They are a way of getting the produciton costs down (I believe).

I think what they do is immoral.....

Generally speaking, I have no time for the work-shy lowlife who frequent the sofas when the rest of us are paying for them to watch TV, but I do have a degree of sympathy when it comes to this sort of thing. Pensioners too are fooled into thinking that it's just the cost of a phone call. I hate this sort of underhandedness almost as much as I hate unsolicited recorded telephone sales calls. Both pervade my lounge uninvited and insult my meagre intelligence.

We all know the answer is a choice of one, but some less fortunates actually believe they have a chance of winning because they are 75% sure they are right.  The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom
