phone cradle/armrest upper tray removal/alternative ?

Our Vogue (2007 facelift) has the phone cradle in the armrest. It's of zero benefit. Is it possible to remove - ie is there a "plain" tray available?

removed mine ages ago put a rubber pad in and now ipod sits inside with cable to cig usb power Thumbs Up _____________________________________________________

I think that tray is a different shape to mine. Hmmm 2007 Vogue TDV8 with 255/55/20's fitted
