New FBH problem

Hi all, done a lot of searching both here and on Rover forum but no definitive answer, had problems with FBH but was all sorted for a while, it will now start and run beautifully off timer or remote but only two or three times, then fans start and turn off after a few seconds, pull fuse 59 to reset and all is well again for two or three runs then same problem, anyone any ideas ?

On my Rover 75 it was a case of taking it out and giving it a good clean when it did that. I've Now got a RR and it doesn't look very easy at all. Especially since the bonnet only goes up a few inches and the battery and tray has to come out.

Not that bad really, even with having to remove the wheel liner (there is a mod to the battery tray somewhere on here that negates the need to remove liner). Bonnet can be raised higher into service mode, although battery can be removed without doing this. Have had mine out 3-4 times now. Replaced unit and it now works on remote and timer.

REMEMBER to follow the battery disconnection method though.

Thanks for that, I will look into the tray mod and the service position. I need to get the PCB out for repair really, typically just as the cold weather is coming to an end.

^^ so leave it for a few months and get it done in the middle of the summer when you can do without the FBH, might be able to get it done cheaper too..... works for double glassing and boilers Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

So this morning it was -2 so my wife decides to press the remote to see what happens.

Clouds of mist from under the bonnet and it starts defrosting the window much to her delight. So she calls me to look. So I go out and there is a smell of burning plastic and it cuts out.

I think the fuse is coming out until the weather improves.
