Hello folks

I'm occasionally getting a "whoop whoop" noise from the engine upon acceleration. Anything to worry about or is it just the turbo doing its job?

It just comes on when accelerating. Heard stories of turbo problems and want to make the most of the warranty if it is! 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

What noise do you get? Is it a whooshing or a whistle type noise?
I sometimes get a whistle from my TD6 under acceleration, but not been able to pin it down, could be a hole in the intercooler hose causing it.
Had an incredible 'moosing' noise from my Mondeo ST220 when the idle air control valve got sticky, replaced the valve and all was quiet again. Don't know if the TDV8 diesel engine has something similar.

P.S. If anyone doubts what a 'moosing' sound is, just Google ST220 Moosing, it's freaky!! For weeks I told people my ST220 was lonely and looking for a mate when they heard the noise!
