I am in need of some front brake pads for my 2012 tdv8, could anyone give me any feedback on the ones Advanced Factors are selling compared to OEM please.

I'm asking the very same for the very same reason...and aware how fickle some pad/disc/car combinations can be.

I can't comment on 2012 cars but I did recently buy and fit a Front disc and pad set from AF for my own car.
In terms of quality I can't fault the components supplied and doubt I could find any difference between them an OEM parts.
The kit consisted brake discs, pads, wear sensor, disc retention grub screws, thread sealant and copper grease.
I've only run the car for 20 miles since the new parts were fitted but all I can say is the car brakes well without any issues which on the face of it seems likely to continue being the case.
The kit was certainly good value.

Thanks, yes. There seems to be a good deal of positive comment on the B & B kit for pre 2010 cars. We would love to hear from those with who have fitted these to the 380mm dia Brembo front braked later cars. (Supercharged and 4.4 TDV8)  2012MY Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Vogue...now gone!

Dan does a fair price.

I would go with genuine personally, brakes are not about price, its originals or upgraded not cheap aftermarket pads and discs.

i've tried borg & beck, brembo? and finallt genuine pads which i purchased from ducky dan and the genuine are the best....

i dont know what makes the brembo ones were as i've been informed that brembo dont make pads .. ... - .- -.

Just had a price off Dan for pads, A very nice man I have to say but £178.00. wow wee and that seams reasonable compared to other prices, and just had a price of local main dealer for a 4yr 64k service that was £701.18 reduced from£779.09.
Has the world gone mad ?
Tempted to go down the indie service option.

You may want to read this, the 5.0 takes he same brakes as the 4.4

My OEM discs and pads are well worn at 46k miles and still work very well, and that is what I will replace them with
My previous SUV (2008 Merc ML) was sold with it's original discs and pads just 40% worn at 75k miles.
I do tend to drive with observation and 'conservation of momentum' style and feel if I use the brakes in normal driving then I have failed to anticipate correctly!
Does that make me slow?...no that's what brakes do  2012MY Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Vogue...now gone!

Thats a fair point made, so yep i'm sold on the genuine pads and I will give Dan a call back and get some ordered.
Still can't bring myself to go MD service thou, I have a good LR indie that I have used before, the car has 12mth Inchcape warranty on it so apart from the stamp not been MD does it 'really' matter.
The thing is this will be my last RR anyway as my outlook on life and cars has changed thanks to a nervous breakdown last year. All I want from a car now is 4wd and to be able to pull a cow trailer etc, as i'm a joiner /farmer.
Just going back a few years some of you may recall that Mrs Woodchip had horrendous hip problems basically they were worn down to nothing, anyway this week she has had 2 new hips and so far all is well, so now it time to start living and enjoying life again. So I reacon a car is just a car where my wife is my soul mate and my everything.
Like we say ONE LIFE so LIVE IT.

Not cheap, but fine.
Less dust on the rims and do what they should do, braking, but much better.
At least on OUR highways with 200km/h and above are the original pads just crap.

Will never switch back to original, because you'll never know what you will get.
Original mean maybe Bosch, maybe Brembo, maybe ???
