I have been having a disco free few weeks as it has been in for a new flywheel and clutch again.... 2nd in 16000 miles.

Its back now, but it seems to have developed a new problem, which I think I may know the reason for but want some advice if anyone knows 2.7tdv6 commercial.

A few weeks back (before it went to the garage of the recent flywheel) i started it in the morning and tried to reverse out of my space, only to find an almost total lack of power and no willingness to rev at all. I got it out after some coaxing and all returned to normal.

Now over the last few days it has done the same a few times. Normally on startup from cold, or at the end of the day. Total lack of power, won't accelerate. After a minute or two the fault clears itself and normal service is resumed.

I have no EML light on and don't have an IID or any diagnostics to plug in, its warrantied so i can just send it in for mending but want to be able to point them somewhere. Im thinking poss sticky EGR?

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I have posted this over there too (Disco4), but i thought someone here might possibly have an idea...... or 2. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Yep, highly likely to be EGRs.

I'm not sure, but I think the 2.7 D4 can still be blanked as per the EU4 D3s - if that is indeed the case, I suggest you do (dependant on warranty, of course).  Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Well I popped in to Hunters and the put it on the computer to see what was up, this is the kind of service I like, 2 min call to the W/s manager - pop in and we will plug it in, FOC. None of the bull you get from the call centre they use (no diagnostic time WALOC).

The EGRs were all working fine and dandy, full movement and the correct readings. so thats good

it was showing a low boost fault , which could either be a split pipe or a sticky actuator for the VGT . Im thinking the latter, however they can't get it in to have a proper look until after Xmas, so its booked in and we will see how it goes.

Im thinking if it was a hose problem then it would be there all the time not just on cold start and intermittently then too.

At least the workshop manager has seen the fault code and can deal with it appropriately when it goes in  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

was a split o ring on the intake pipe in the end, all has been fine for a few months now.  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
