Boot light stays on

I have a bit of a weird problem I'm hoping someone may be able to help me with.

The boot light (one by the right hand wheel well), stays on when the boot is shut, and keys removed.

Anyone have expereience of this problem?

There's a post half way down this thread that suggests the light switch is part of the upper latch assembly - so maybe a bit of WD40 in there ?
