I like the Germans except when they beat England at football, I also think they do a good job of ruling the EU. They also drink a lot (good) and they do have Henning Wehn who actually is a pretty good comedian, I even have all of his DVDs (one) so funny, drunk, good at football and in charge of all things EU - what's not to like Rolling with laughter Geoff

One of my closest friends is German, from Hamburg but he lived and worked in the UK for 10 years. We had so many laughs about German correctness over the years but although that article captures some of the stereotypical traits they are from decades ago. Even my friend's kids have a wicked sense of humour, as does his wife. His parents however do rather fit the stereotype though.

Still a damn fine country with some wonderful people though. And they eat and drink loads, which must be a good thing. They also share in our national pastime of the banter with the French. Yep, they'll do for me. Thumbs Up
