Absolutely gutted to be going down this route but with so much on right now with being newly self employed and a wedding coming up this year its the easiest option.

However if someone does know of a TDV8 engine going spare and for sale let me know!

We believe a turbo has gone and unfortunately taken the engine with it as it has seized.

Details are as follows:

2006 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Vogue

Stornaway Grey with full SE black leather (very rare to have grey with black leather )

Full 2010 facelift carried out professionally by Overfinch agent

Full Genuine Overfinch Aero 111 kit which consists of front and rear bumpers, side skirts, spoilers, grilles and various trim and badges

Full Brembo Overfinch front brakes

22" Genuine Overfinch Olympus Alloys with near new Continental tyres ( £800 on tyes alone )

Autobiography Piano Black heated steering wheel ( and full black piano trim throughout )

Full SE Interior - from research you can't buy a Stornaway Grey RR with black leather, this has had the air conditioned seats from the SE installed. The Air Condition element needs wired and set up with I believe is a big task but everything works with seats, heated, memory electric.

Usual RR extras of SAT NAV, Touch Screen, Digital TV, CD Changer, Bluetooth, etc

ECU Remap to 320BHP

Full comprehensive service history via RR and Specialists only - I only use Andy White as he's done all our Range Rover servicing and maintenance, etc

Only issue I had in ownership was the wiper linkage broke so a new dealer supplied linkage and wiper motor fitted a few months ago.

Previous owner is off this forum and had it for 5 years and spent a fair fortune on it and looked after it well. When I bought it last August it had new front dics and pads recently fitted.

Previous works includes full servicing, brakes, suspensions bushes, rear callipers, diff and gearbox servicing, alternator, and last year the EGR Valves, Intercooler and water hoses were changed. Loads of receipts and history.

Mileage is 161K but you wouldn't know it until of course on Monday where either the turbo has gone. She never used a drop of oil too! Car is still Mot'd to October.

its hard to put a value on it but after seeing a few non overfinch Range Rovers go up for sale with engine issues around the 6.5K

I feel close offers to £8500.00 is fair.

Bring your own alloys and I will let her go for £6500.00

I was hoping the engine was hydraulic locked and could be saved but it's not to be I'm afraid

Car currently has injectors out and with a suspected broken crank.

If I had the time I would source an replacement engine but time and a wedding to fund isn't helping!

Have you priced up the work on this mate? ie getting it done, as that might help the sale..... I might be interested if I knew what the total cost might be and I am sure there would others.....

Ps there's a few engine on eBay between £4K - £6k

The same places on eBay tend to do the swap for £4K so for £10500 + wheels and shipping it could be put back on the road 👍 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

In my opinion I wouldn't use some of the companies on eBay unless you have some good feedback on them.

For me I was going down 2nd hand engine route and new turbos which I was budgeting 5k on. But you would a have a lower mileage engine and new turbos so not a bad vehicle to end up in.

I just don't have the time and funds for it just now and to think I was close to putting it up for sale a few months ago as I just never used the thing! BUT glad it's happened to me and not a new owner.

Stunning looking car . Shame about the engine. If you ever consider selling the overfinch bits separately (in px for stornoway grey genuine standard facelift bits) let me know
May be an option to recoup some of your outlay??

No sorry I'm not breaking the car.

If you want the full Overfinch kit and extras you can have it for £6500 and I'll keep the alloys.

Saw a damaged bumper sell for 1.5k so a bargain eh?
