I'm not going to muck around with a brand new unit for obvious reasons , however it does look as though the top can come off, anything you want looked at just ask, I'll be getting this fitted next week hopefully.

Sorry , no I did not, I do however still have that part lying about in the garage somewhere . I traded that car not long after the post .

Apologies, not clear in my post but I didn’t actually fit the new part. I still have it in the garage in my pile of spares . You would be welcome to have it for a much reduced sum .
