CD player stalling

My CD player only seems to play about 10 seconds and then 'freezes'.

Would a disc cleaner help with this?

(Did I read somewhere a disc cleaner was bad news? Not sure..........am I answering my own question.....not sure)

Shocked

A short blast of compressed air into the loading slot may dislodge any dust affecting the tracking.
