HI all
Well once again failure has struck.
After about 15 min driving I suddenly had the failsafe message come up. The only way I could get any drive was to switch he engine off, wait a few minutes then restart and go, only for within about 30 seconds for all drive to vanish. There are no sudden clunks or bangs, it's as though the drive just fades out. Has anybody else come across these problems, as I am lost as to where to start.
It is a td6 02 plate, engine always starts fine. I know it seems obvious to suspect the gearbox, but have seen it suggested that such things as a plug or coil failing, maf sensor going or O2 sensor. Can anyone help as having one of those weeks
Satrted with a job at 8k being dropped to 1700,
Then rained all day and mower died
Then trailer was stolen
Got areola ement trailer after a 400 mile drive
Only to find a brake cable was seized and also someone had badly adjusted the brakes and burnt out a set of of shoes so they had to be elated
Then broke the s reen on my phone
Now the range has decided to get in on the act as well!

Hi ian, I'm afraid you need to get the fault codes read.
There are no plugs, coils or o2 sensors on a diesel.
Mine went the same, loss of drive, or similarly like a slipping clutch, fortunately I managed to pull in to a car park and awaited the breakdown truck.
A rebuild gearbox, including tc, solenoid valves and accumulator springs, the gm g/box is well noted for these problems.
