can this be done , hotel room tv in france, plug in firestick , connect to their wifi and use kodi to watch what you would in the UK... ... - .- -.

Think you have to add Filmon on FTV in your settings to get channels in France |

i have filmon on one of the repos mick so in theory it should work? ... - .- -.

Don't know about firestick or kodi but don't you have VPN which should mean they work ok as you would appear to be in UK? John

the vpn is to be able to access channels like bbc iplayer etc John but i'm hoping kodi does it a different way ... ... - .- -.

Can't see why it wouldn't work, but it depends on the speed of the hotel wifi too, in the last few places I've stayed the speed has been horrendous.

I'm not sure how streaming TV works nowadays but in the past, you had to use a proxy server to view UK TV services like iPlayer from abroad.

It's iPlayer that restricts it's content to UK IP addresses due to licensing issues
USB or HDMI ? I'm late to this party - I just ordered myself a Fire stick about 10 minutes ago off to France in a couple of weeks & hoping our site wifi is fast enough. |

it is a hdmi port that the firestick needs Mark.....i'll take mine next week Alistair and let you know if it works.. ... - .- -.
