Yes, I'm sold on the 8 spd too. Drove a 4.4 and it's a lovely smooth drive. If I go 8 spd next time I think I'll be heading back to the sister forum  Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

manual D4, badged up as an HSE lux? Didn't know they did the 3.0 with a manual box.....or is it a CTC special 2.7? GS spec with new seats.

If it's a 3.0 then get a LR warranty so they can pay for the new engine when the crank lets go...... Happened to Richtdv8's HSE lux on the trip down to Le Mans this year. Bang new engine, 1/2 hour off the ferry. Snapped crank. Sized engine. Apparently quite common........ There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

No, she’s a 2010 2.7 D4 a rare old beast... IMHO the best compromise

A CTC special... Yes... And fitted with most of the HSE LUX extra’s now...

High beam assist, Vision pack, Auto lights & wipers, PDC, CC, BT etc etc etc so, nigh on the same spec as my VSE FF & all for a third of the cost

Same as mine without the cage in the back then best mod so far is the remote for the fbh  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You can get a D4 with a manual transmission? Here we could special order manual D1s, but I've never seen one since the D2 came. No idea they were even available. How many speeds on the manual?
