Won't start.

Pressed the lower suspension button, not on purpose I might add whilst loading car to go home from holiday.
I was careful not to leave the doors open whilst loading to avoid battery drain.
Now she won't turn over but everything lights up ok. It's been absolutely spot on all throughout the holiday and picks today to go tits up!
Any ideas? Anything I could try to diagnose while I wait for the rac who the operator said could be hours!

Cheers
Pete

Need to put in details of your RR I.E TD6 or petrol, year etc.

could be fuel pump. There was a post on here about hitting it to get it working (think it was the fuel pump 😗)

Luckily it was just a dead cell in the battery and the rac replaced it with a hoofing big varta.

Since the battery change the windows won't go up with one touch any more and I'm getting the smart key not found message. Grrrrr.

Don't know about the smart key business but to reinstate one-touch windows try the following:

– with engine running, press and hold down the window button until the window has gone all the way down
– lift the button to raise the window, keeping it held
– keep button held up until approx 5 secs after the window has reached the top.

That should do it. 2006MY 4.2 SC

Thanks Mulcher, I'll give that a go tomorrow, it's been a long day and a Chinese is on its way, so going to leave her alone for the night. Smile

I think I'll change the battery to be on the safe side plus I need another key anyway so might as well order one from Duckworths when I order the new pads.
