United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

Give yourself plenty of time to see everything, it's a massive open air theatre with motor racing as the main spectacle and lots of interesting stalls side shows, so plan to arrive early (by 8am) & stay late (after 7pm) & enjoy the spectacle, some of the best air displays I've seen are impromptu ones as you are walking back to your car.

Dress up so you feel part of the show & can join in, most people do, but try & wear good walking shoes as you will walk miles.

Make sure you check out all the pits & paddock areas in the infield, you will need a jacket & tie to access the main pits & definitely no jeans.

If you don't have grandstand seats then the grass banks on the outside of the circuit are good viewing areas, especially the one between the chicane & the start / finish line as there's a screen you can view.

When you leave the A3 on the way down go via Petworth, so at the second roundabout take the exit at about 2 o'clock not the third exit which is at about 4 o'clock.

Lastly, enjoy!

I've got a ticket for Sunday. I'm going with a car mad old friend, and will be in period dress.
Seeing as we are going in a modern car, we will I guess, be walking from the modern car part, or getting a park and ride, I've heard about tractor rides, into the classic car park.
As I'm taking some camera stuff, and I might need to return to the car, is this a long way from the track?
P.s. My tongue is already hanging out, in anticipation!

It's a fair treck from the track to the car park, which is why it's worth getting there early so you park at the track end of the car park. It's still do-able though. Drives:

2010 FFRR TdV8 Vogue SE - Zermatt Silver

Went last year but not this year, Mum's birthday... My Godmother's husband, a dying breed as he describes himself (a metallurgist), will be though.

We had grandstand tickets and we were at the stand at the bottom end of the back straight. The path at the bottom of the straight was being shut off fairly regularly to allow the Spitfires (Battle of Britain 75th anniversary so the biggest gathering since the Battle itself). However, having been stood 12ft behind one when it than wondrous engine started up it paled into insignificance when the races made exclusively of E-types and AC Cobras (with 'racing' exhausts) opened up onto the back straight.

It was a great spectacle but damn loud!

If you have a spare few thousand hidden away then you could go for a flight in a Spitfire... Whistle Ed

I think that the classic car park, is pre1966 only...

However, this scene, has to be perhaps THE most expensive car parking area, in the world.
15x £15m+ Ferrari 250 GTO's, all going out to play!
