wow thats a pile of problems for a 37k mile car!! DPF could be down to how it was driven before you got it.

mine used a bit of oil and there are places they leak, had a drip in the dipstick tube and a leak on the turbo feed, both fixed under warranty.

Check the orings where the turbo feeds come out of the back of the engine for weeps and the oil cooler in the V as you probably know.

apart from a couple of problems sorted under warranty mine has been pretty trouble free, certainly better than my 3.6, so its probably the luck of the draw!! Hope it gets sorted soon though.

In terms of running either car, if you dont do mega milage the 2010 should go on for another 5 years easily, so may the 4.4, you are basically dammed if you do and dammed if you dont!!!! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

4.4 is fixed now, it needed the oil drain mod to the turbo drain on B bank. was using approx 0.5L per 500miles

DPF was full from the build up of this burnt oil plus hole after the CAT but before the DPF giving false pressure readings and restricted performance issues.

supplying dealer (merc!) didnt respond to my requests for them to fix it either for 2 months! Oh the joys! Cheers
