I have been thinking of getting something a bit newer - 2010 ish S/C - BUT the current (2006 4.4 petrol) has been so good and is apparently worth about 10 bob now.
The only trouble it has had in three years ownership is the occasional warning when the battery is low and, er, some so-and-so keying it.
Shall I stick 'til it does become trouble? Wait a bit longer? Flip a coin? Have a lie down?

i was in the same boat as you with a no problem 2008 SC but the draw to a 4.4 tdv8 2012 was to great even with the big chunk of cash needed to get it....you only live once  ... - .- -.

You could get a newer one and it might cause all sorts of problems , but then again you could die in your sleep and you chance going to bed every night .....  ====================================

I'd agree with that. I'd save for l405. I personally think the early interior is better design than the latter revisions. V8 or else ...

I had this same 'urge' a few months back but decided that it's better the devil you know! I'd be throwing £10k and my car in to get an 11/12 plate 4.4 TDV8 with only slightly less mileage, and roughly same spec.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Just buy the 2010 -- they are so much better  All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

I had the same quandry earlier this year. Looked out for a low mileage 2012 AB and couldn't find one with the right colour combo and spec, so abondoned the idea. Instead I'm holding back until next year when I will go a huntin for a L405.
