Guy Salmon - Stockport

Well today I took my car in for the fitting of deployable steps, SWMBO is having some issues getting in and out. I booked it 4 or 5 weeks ago so dropped it off as arranged this morning to have them fitted and went for a bike ride. At 2.30 my mobile rang, I had hoped that it was the garage ringing to tell me the car was ready early (bit wet up here) not a bit of it they said they didn't have the steps in but would order them and have them for next week.
No real explanation as to why they hadn't ordered them previously or any offer of compensation for the 40 mile round trip or the wasted day, other than they will pick the car up from me next time - service manager apparently lives nearby.

mine also went in to have the steps fitted and they did have them in stock but they were damaged, luckly i only live ten minutes away and the dealer also confirmed i needed the turbo drain update so it wasnt a wasted journey..

do you reckon these steps are soaked in voodoo juice.. Laughing ... - .- -.

Mine went into Guy Salmon Kntsford for the front brake hose recall recently - they had it for two weeks Rolling with laughter

At least I got a brand new Disco for the duration and they fitted brand new calipers (Brembos) as well because they couldn't free up the old hoses Rolling with laughter

No surprise mine only goes to an excellent local Indy!

Oh, and even though it was booked in three weeks in advance they hadn't ordered the hoses when I dropped it off! Muppets IMHO! 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!
