L322s Look Old

Hi Folks,

Just spent 7 days in the UK, lots of driving and was staggered by the number of RRS and RR about. In the Dales region of Yorkshire, there is a LR branded product in every drive.....virtually.

Anyway, I was surprised how old the L322 looked compared to anything else around. Quite shocked. I thought the older style RRS holds up quite well against its replacement.

Just a note: My hire car was a Fiat 500....Totally dreadful and talk about road noise.

Just an observation.

Cheers, Jerry THIS WRECKAGE

It IS true that the L322 doesn't look like all the other cars being churned out today.

That doesn't mean that it isn't one of the best looking cars ever made.

The E-type looks a bit old fashioned, but you would, you know you would.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I just bought mine because it's one of the best looking cars on the road. IMHO, nothing else has the "road presence" of a FFRR.

Thumbs Up

We do not have so many L322s and L405s on the road here in the Fatherland - so the L322 does not look outdated just different Smile i still like both Smile All my spelling errorz are belong to me!

I disagree with you, I think the older RRS has dated terribly. The L322 has aged alright but still looks well

yes, to me, the E type, looks like its driving around with no clothes on. Shocked but they were just, 'old hat' when the XJS was ruling the roads.
there used to be loads of old classic RR's out there, interest has picked up on those, and now, you tend to only see nicer ones.
gradually, the bling-ged up l322's will fade away, and we will be left with nice looking standard ones, keeping battery manufacturers in good business.

i think the blinged up early RRS's look very old hat.
every car has its swan-song.

i think the l322 will remain classic looking, simple, elegant. stylish. and smart.
i look at new models of Mercedes, and wonder who they are employing. no talent with the design of the body.

IMO the old shape RRS looks significantly more dated/ blocky/ everything looks bolted on. Doesn't work for me.

The L405 is sleek and the L322 does look a mature design, granted... though unmolested early or late models are crisp, classy and fine looking vee hickles (to me anyway... but then I would say that as there is not an L405 on our driveway Laughing

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. A friend was following me (L322 ) in his L405 and when we reached our destination he remarked how much more road presence he felt mine had compared to his His opinion but he happened to be right 😄 2015 4.4 AB
