United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Cairns Blue
PEL000070

I've read a few things in the Wiki about replacing the EGR thermal sensor valve, and was wondering about the compatibility of parts.

The Land Rover part is PEL000070, but I see reference to using a BMW part instead no part number quoted). Looking on line, the BMW part is under half the price of the Land Rover item Shocked but is it the same ? The BMW part number seems to be 11717787870 for any of the 3.0l BMW straight 6 engines.

Thanks

Fitted one this morning, part number for bmw on mine was 11712247723, and yes, they are half the price of lr.
if you remove the cover in front of the rad, you should be able to read the part number.
about £20 or their about. Order one with the o'ring.
greg.

@gregdav
On another thread there is a reference to the LR hoses being push fit where the BMW one uses jubilee clips. Which does that p/n result in, please? John

Hi john mine were push fit, with those wire clips.
quite an easy job, there's a little hose above the rear bolt head, I had to undo this to access bolt, and re crimp after fitment, then top up with coolent. Checked later this afternoon, and everything is ok.
the part I believe is exactly the same as lr, as it has the bmw number on it anyway.
Greg. Thumbs Up

I recently fitted this - was an easy job and works just fine.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222286162252

Gives these numbers: -
1171 2 247 723 - EGR Thermostat
11 53 2 248 435 - O-Ring

When I did mine I just went for the cheapest I could find on ebay. When fitting I realised I had got the wrong one, i did not know the BMW has a different fitting. Anyway the bit the hose goes on can be removed and swapped over easily so I would still get the cheapest I could find regardless of hose fitting and just swap it. 2007 TDV8 VSE
