Whistle One of these may help Wink

But a slightly more serious note, It doesn't sound too good for your CD player Sad

There are a few things you do... Firstly you need to know which system you have, I will assume that you have the non touch screen Sat Nav.. So if you want to play CD's then a S/H replacement would be the easiest way round the problem.

However if you have an iPod then a CD emulator could be a better option, these replace the CD player and will give you either an aux audio connection and / or an iPod connection with / without steering wheel control.. These units start around £30 and climb in price according to the level of control they allow you Thumbs Up

If your system is touch screen then I'm afraid that a S/H CD might prove a bit more expensive to cop hold of as the list of donors is a lot smaller, and the Emulator iPod connection is even smaller Sad Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Take cassette out remove all CDs bar one, replace and see if it finds the one.
If that works reload all CDs and try again.

May need to power off head unit and reselect CD.

Having 6 slots showing is a positive, just clicking could be athe cassette or CD unit having a worn cog or two on the draw in process.

Best of luck.

I had a similar thing with mine recently.

When you put the magazine in it should go through each of the CDs and load them in then spin them to check the disc. Does yours do that?

Mine didn't do anything when putting the magazine in. I took the CD changer out, removed the lid and lubricated the mechanism. Works perfectly now!

Are these easy to remove to inspect?
Mine is saying no cassette / magazine (cant remember which one) even when it is in with cd's loaded. Also seem to keep blowing the 5amp fuse?
