2015 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Indus Silver

Couldn't Keep Away!

So the plan to use the XKR all year round or borrow SWMBO's D4 when necessary while she runs around in our Mini Copper S has backfired

Nice that the old Mini is neither of us really want to drive it and with the prospect of leaving the Jag outside all winter a radical new plan was needed

I set a budget for a cheap 4x4 to use myself for the winter while the XKR "hibernates"....................then increased the budget...................then increased it once or twice more and in the end found this "black beauty"!

2006 MY TD6 Autobiography with RSE and more - how lucky am I and apart from the more agricultural engine I don't feel its a huge step backwards from the 2010MY TDV8 I gave up to make the Jag happen

Best of both worlds - any one what to buy a Mini

I'm still loving your old Fatty! Has all been good (touch wood) since I did the alternator and EGR's in the first month!

I found this post though as I came across one of yours talking about the drivers seat not heating.....I don't normally use heated seat so hadn't noticed before. Did you ever work out what the problem was?

Hi Sam, I'm glad you are enjoying it, I tried two different heated seat modules but neither solved the problem and like you say its only occasional use but annoying all the same. I think that just left the unit in the seat back to try changing but I never found the time to investigate it further.
