You've removed every fuse and used a meter, on amps, inline...??

This will test a current flow across a fuse, not voltage as something can be live but not necessarily a current flowing so you would need to plug this in to every fuse and lock the vehicle and have the meter where you can read it and check for current flow once the vehicle has gone to sleep.

If you remove the blower resistor i don't think anything would happen, as in you wouldn't have a fan. i am only guessing but the resistance is probably variable to vary the blower speed as when they fail the speed can go all over the place, stay on when supposed to be off or any combination including no fan at all. if you can take it out then replace it with a new one if you have the cash or remove its fuse. If turning off the fan control is working for you then that is great.

Thanks for the reply bud! Doesn't look too complicated to replace like you mentioned, had a quick look at my vin and it is coming up as 4A143464 which I believe might just be out of what is mentioned, do you think it might be still worth a try? If so where could I get hold of one? Is it a dealer only part? How much would it be approximately? Really appreciate the help! |

If you are outside the vin range then you shouldn't need it, this fan will stay on for 16 minutes before it goes to sleep..

How old is your battery? Have you tested the headlamp motors/wipers? The cold finished off my battery..replaced it then my headlight motor died then drained my new battery overnight.. |
