It's the same with the news - they make some poor plonker stand outside No 10, or Parliament or wherever on News At Ten when they are clearly closed. The people in the studio have more idea of what';s happening, but they feel the need to mix it up by having someone actually there.

It's called dramatic effect guys. Or hasn't anyone noticed the ridiculous music they now play when the news comes on and the way news presenters look at one another for reactions all the time when they're in the studio.

Can anyone actually remember the days when the news lasted ten minutes and was presented by just one person? I'm sure most can as we are all over 40 or thereabouts.

We have the Americans to thank for the way our news and weather are presented. In fact the Yanks have the weather channel which is absolutely hilarious to watch as I'm sure many will know. They even tell you what you need to be wearing...amazing what people get used to. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze
