255/55/20 on a 9,5"rim - Good or bad idea ?

Hi,

FFRR is a 2003 L322 4.4 petrol with 19" originals.

I can get these ex RRS wheels 2009 at a nice price - but they are quite wide at 9,5"
What happens if I will fit the preferred tyres .... as I dont want to go towards 275 wide ....
Will the wheels fit the car ? And will the tyre walls get stretched too much on a 9,5 "rim ?

Preferred tyre details:
Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season 255/55 R20
255/55 R20 110Y XL LR ECOIMPACT

Rim details:
Model Range Rover Sport Year 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009
Bolt Pattern 120mm
Nuts 5
Offset 53mm
Diameter 20"
Width 9.5"
LR part-number-72196a. Mark Offringa

^ I agree Thumbs Up

I think its asking for trouble to use a wheel that's an inch wider than normal for the tyre Shocked

There do seem to be plenty of good value RR wheels around, both L322 and L405, so you should be able to find a set that will fit straight on with the added confidence that they were OEM wheels on the FFRR. Very Happy 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Thanks guys.

The wheel search continues...

But first thing first - this shiny lump still needs to be mounted first, is planned for next week.
