Hi all,

Anyone know of a way I can check what spec my car came from the factory with..? ie. like to know if it is pre wired for phone (bluetooth) or anything, what else it may have.

I see loads of "units" in the rear left compartment but no idea what any of them actually are.

All very new to me still... had P38's for years so know them now but still learning the FF variety.!

Wanted to go the bluetooth route as well but I think that is going to be very expensive now that the car has no pre wire for it.  Ash

If you put you chassis number in Microcat for Land Rover, it also gives all this infomation.

The pre-wiring isn't listed in the EPC/Microcat (worth a download) The way to tell is to lift the inside of your cubby box out and see if you have a spare plug in there somewhere - this is where it would plug into the phone cradle.

Do you have Voice recognition? If not then everything gets too complicated to be honest.

In my previous 2003 Vogue I wanted the phone but it was too much agro as it wasn't pre-wired. So I used a Nokia CK-1W kit as this is fairly discreet. Luckily in my newer 53/04 the phone came already installed.

If I can be of any help let me know, I do have a BMW phone module kicking around somewhere which may work for you if some of the wiring is already there.
