That possibly could work if I 1. Knew how to do it & 2. It sounds like a long winded way to address a problem that shouldn't even exist.

Being honest, I've never had such an issue importing music from my iTunes library onto a car's media drive in the last 10+ years & although the wife's XC60 used to display ghost files when I used my Mac to copy onto the USB which was annoying, simply using Windows File Manager instead fixed this.

Hard to believe that the most up to date Infotainment system that JLR have, can't perform what is after all a very simple requirement.

Not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things, but it is somewhat frustrating. Paul

You need an ID3 editor and yes it is long winded. My hands are tied in assisting as ordinarily I would try all this myself before posting but my FFRR is on order and not due till June, so I can only speculate to the root cause till then!

Definitely sounds like an ID tag problem.

I've seen this in other cars with newer infotainment systems.

A prog like Bliss should fix this:

I'll fiddle with ours when it comes hopefully next week/week after and walk you through how to use Bliss to retag everything automatically

Just buy an iPod and plug it in - a bit more money, but a whole lot less hassle - I couldn't be bothered fiddling with file properties every time I want to change the music.

I bought an old 160Gb iPod and it's dead easy to sync with iTunes and add whatever I like to it. Then all the albums and playlists work just as they should Thumbs Up

I gave up in the end & went the iPod route. Bought a 128GB Touch & that works perfectly as could get virtually my entire music library on it.

Quick question though, would the car recognise music videos, films &/or TV programmes pulled onto the iPod via iTunes &bcould they be played in the car? Paul
