Need to remove transmission. Any tips

My second range rover with BMW engine has a damaged transmission ( zf5hp24) . Is there any special steps, tools to removing one of these. I am going to remove the transmission with the transfer box.

As I understand it

1- drain transmission+remove lines.
2-remove selector shaft, lever, switch ect...
3- unbolt front and rear driveshafts
4-disconnect wiring to transfer case shift motor
5-torque converter bolts
6-bell housing bolts
7- lower transmission with support cradle

is there anything I am missing.

Another question, is there a clutch in the torque converter??

Will post pictures once I start.

Thanks and happy holidays

Not sure your going to save very much as most specialists charge an inclusive price including removal and refitting. Just find a good specialist like ZF Engineering in Germany. Well worth the trip as they are cheaper than the UK and do an amazing job from what I have seen/read on forums.
