A new sensor will require calibration mode to be set. My IIDTool needed a special version to set calibration mode but the option may have since been incorporated into a general release.

I am sure I will this either get done by the friendly local dealer or with the help of GAPs team. Mr. Green
We will see how it develops and I will report back.
But thanks for th hint! Truly appreciated because such things can stop you from finalising these things.

I couldn't see anywhere in this thread where I mentioned that the radar unit needs a 10A fuse fitted to the engine bay junction box E17 slot. The graphic on the lid diagram will be recognised. Fitting the radar unit c/w fuse without re-configuring the CCF from CC to ACC will cause faults due to the unrecognised canbus messages so best to leave the fuse out until ready to change the CCF.

Got mine all fitted & working but have not fitted a fuse yet ! Graeme can you confirm if your horn button works on the new switch because mine doesn’t thinking this maybe linked to the missing fuse ? My horn works fine on the right hand switch & with the original left hand switch but not the new acc switch.

I'll confirm later when my wife isn't asleep but the wiring schematic shows that the fuse is solely for the radar unit. Hence I suspect that the electrical connector for the switch isn't fully home.

Is the new switch the same colour as the old one? The early version of the switch requires both switches to be replaced if changing one to the later switch. I understood that this was purely due to a change in switch colours so that the colours matched rather than any functional / electrical change but perhaps the change of colours was to distinguish the different sets of switches.

Has the CCF been changed yet to activate ACC? However I couldn't imagine that this would affect the horn button function.

Update: Yes, the horn works from the new ACC switch bank.

From Microcat, LR029644 switch, LH, when used to replace earlier levels, must be fitted in pairs.
This suggests not just a change in colour.

Later switches started at vin BA349700 according to Microcat.
RH matching switch is LR029647.

Graeme,

There are a couple of hints in here about Queue Assist and Start/Stop -- I have ACC already, can I make this do QA and SS simply by changing things with my IID tool?

Yes, QA/SS are just CCF parameters that can be set using the IIDTool.

Simply reiterating warnings from others (GAP & BBS IIRC), which is a reasonable approach considering that LR reportedly didn't make this feature available on the L322 but possibly over-cautious if the feature was available on the first L405.

I've been wondering about enabling this too. I'd be interested to see how it goes! 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

What? Hidden features we can just turn on?

Queue Assist I googled and sounds nice!

Start/Stop? All google revealed was engine start/stop, it's not this is it?

. Cheers, Greg

Start/stop in this context is the same as queue assist whereby the vehicle can be brought to a stop then resume ACC on touching the throttle but perhaps the CC resume button. The couple of times that I cautiously allowed the vehicle to be stopped to test the feature, I didn't subsequently resume ACC.
