AC controls have a life of their own

The battery was flat this morning - the AA man said there is a drain on it and he could hear a noise in the area of the ac controls. After jump starting the engine the ac controls were acting a bit wacky - the blower wouldn't turn off completely and the auto button once pushed wouldn't turn off. Strange thing is, the central locking on the drivers door which doesn't usually work now does. Will a battery hard re-set cure this or is there something more serious afoot? QUID FACIUM TIBI

Its amazing how many things a re-set can sort. Interestingly the AA man knew nothing about the red light next to the 'P' indicating the system hadn't shut down - it was still on after 15 mins and he said he had to go to another job and couldn't wait to see how long it took to go off.... QUID FACIUM TIBI
